In cased you missed it a couple days ago, I shared a few simple ways to fall back in love with blogging. This was mainly directed toward those who don’t blog as their full-time job but have have lost some of the sparkle and excitement that comes along with blogging or any other creative outlet. As with most hobbies, when you start doing it a lot (especially for money or other people), it begins to feel less like a fun pastime and more like a chore. Those who work full-time and maintain a regular blog or side hustle know that it can begin to feel like you’re literally working all day every day. Finding a balance is tricky, but it’s definitely possible! Here is some of my favorite advice on the subject:
1. In her post on how to balance your day job and your passion project, Geneva of A Pair and a Spare stresses that it is so possible to maintain both of these things. She shares insightful knowledge on choosing the right job, creating a schedule, and staying patient.
2. Balancing your blog and full-time job isn’t the only issue for creatives. You also have to consider your fun outings or alone time (shoutout to my fellow introverts!). Hannah of Secrets of a Rose recently shared tons of great tips on juggling a full time job, a blog, me time, and a social life.
3. I absolutely love this post from The Every Girl on how to successfully balance your side hustle with your full-time job. Lots of practical advice!
4. Jennifer of Simply & Fiercely wrote a really honest post on finding the balance between rest and hustle. She brings up the importance of listening to your body and truly resting when you say you’re going to rest. As someone who is always multitasking and thinking about the next big thing, I could use much more intentional resting.
I can never get enough of blog posts on self-care and the work/life balance. No matter how many I read, I still feel like I get a wake-up call each time. Do any of you have also have trouble finding balance between your blog and job, or between work and life? I would love to hear some of the ways you’re able to do it all.
Happy weekend!

Great post suggestions! As a grad student, blogger, and introvert I know how hard it is to balance it all. Sometimes guilt can set in when I take “me” time, but I remember it’s important for my wellbeing.

This is a great post – I’ll be checking out some of these other blogs for more inspiration!
It can be really difficult to balance working full time and blogging, but I think the reason so many of us do it is because we truly love blogging, so it doesn’t feel like “work” all of the time.
I always make sure to stay off the computer for one day a week, to help maintain some level of “time off” during the week. I find that really helps me.
