Now that we’re getting in the swing of things for the new season, we wanted to come up with more ways to help everyone do the same–whether that’s just amping up blog content or finding new ways to reach readers this month. There are SO many lists of blog post topics out there (our list of fall blogging ideas included), that it’s slightly overwhelming. So we spent the week rounding up four that we found really helpful, that work in any season, and that we hadn’t actually seen when they were first published. Check these out for a great blend of specific topics and ideas for arriving at your own unique content ideas. PS: They’re looking quite pink today, aren’t they?!
1. The Haute Notes has 15 types of blog posts that will help grow your audience. I think this is the perfect blend of interesting content that you’ll actually be interested in writing, and what readers want to see.
2. I know you’ve all seen so many of these topic lists floating around, but one I hadn’t personally seen yet was Lydia Rose’s list of 100 blog post ideas. It’s super simple, to the point, and who are we kidding, we all love to write about the fun lifestyle topics on that list! I would totally use this on days I want to add another post to the calendar that’s low pressure and fairly easy to pull off. It’s always nice to have an extra post!
3. Originally I was just going to stick to lists of content ideas rather than how tos, but I thought Brooks had some pretty unique suggestions on how to come up with your own. I loved that she talks about referring to your own bookmarks. I have SO many inspiring websites bookmarked (that didn’t make the Pinterest cut, visually speaking ;)) that I always forget about!
4. This mega list of over 50 blog post ideas by Emily of Jones Design Company is beyond helpful. First of all, she starts off with a little info about how to captivate readers (without going crazy). Then she dives into a huge list of ideas that ALL have purpose and intent. It’s really helpful for when you feel you’re lacking editorial direction too.
What’s on the agenda for you this weekend? Any blog post brainstorming?
