For our last post of 2016 (silent scream!), Jennifer and I both were thinking the same thing: blogging inspiration. I’ve been doing lots of planning for the new year for our projects and freelance (I have about a million Google calendars open as we speak) but the most important thing I’ll do this weekend is simply brainstorm. People who aren’t in creative fields probably don’t believe this, but only a very small part of our day is dedicated to just getting inspired. Yet, inspiration is all about that why, and that’s what motivates us to create! We hope those of you in similar situations will spend sometime getting inspired for 2017 in whatever way works best for you. Hope these posts help!
1. Did you see this post from The Decorista about creating a vision board that works? It’s definitely one of the more practical inspiration board-type posts, because it’s not just about a pretty art wall, but filling it with things that will help you achieve your goals. Super inspiring!
2. Alexis at Strange & Charmed wrote up 5 productive habits for the new year, and the post itself serves as an effective guide to making goals you can actually attain. We’re big list makers here, but it’s good to turn those dreams into actions. :)
3. Kristabel of I Want You To Know shared the 3 positive blogging changes she made this year (awesome blog topic alert!) and it seems like a great, simple way to reflect on a year of blogging. Plus, you can write out what other positive changes you want to make in 2017!
4. If branding is something you’ll be working on in 2017, check out Emily Banks Creatives’ post on planning now for the new year. Even just brainstorming ideas about all the points Emily hits in her article is an excellent start.
How are you preparing for the new year in blogging and business? Wishing you an amazing NYE and last weekend of 2016!
