Hey everyone! How was your week? We decided to take it easy this week and not post every single day. One of my biggest focuses in creating The Blog Market was to make it a less stressful blog to run. I know, it’s the complete opposite of what people tell you (treat your blog like your full-time job, eat-sleep-breathe your blog, etc). The thing is, Angela, Katie, and I have full time jobs already! No need to make ourselves crazy. I’ve gotten so stressed out about blogging in the past, but I want to start treating it like a fun, inspiring hobby again. :)
Anyway, stepping away this week has allowed me to sit back and read a bunch of wonderful content from my favorite blogs!
1. Noor is a Pinterest queen! I love all of her tips on using Pinterest to grow your blog. So much great advice.
2. Jen totally read my mind with this handy roundup of Freelancing resources! Be Free, Lance starts next week and I’m taking all of the freelance advice I can get.
3. Love this post by The Well on how to network from home. It’s so important to find ways to engage in community especially when you’re behind a computer screen for most of the day.
4. The Writer’s Workshop series on June Letters is seriously amazing. I love Robin’s tips on writing the perfect “about me” bio. Writing about yourself can be so awkward.
I also really enjoyed this article, 10 Smartest Things You Can Do to Promote Your New Blog. Have you heard of The Power of 100 Rule? So interesting!
Alrighty, that is all for now. I hope you all have a relaxing weekend! See you next week. :)

Thank you – hopping over to read Noor’s post now as I’m a recent Pinterest convert! By the way your tip in one of your guides on using secret boards to compile things for blog posts was SO helpful – I’d never thought of using it that way before, but I’m using it all the time now and am so much more organised.

Thanks Laura!! I’m so glad you like that little tip. Having a secret pin board makes all the difference for me. It’s so great to organize future content that way. :)

I seriously love the idea that you wanted to make this blog easy to run. Blogging is a tough hobby to have–way more competitive than it would seem at first. I love your perspective!

Jen just kills it with every blog post, and I also loved the Well’s post. Thanks for introducing me to Blog Marketing Academy!

Thanks Kate!! So happy you like it. Yeah, the power of 100 rule is still something I haven’t accomplished but it’s sounds like such a fun goal. :)
