Happy April! Jennifer and I have both agreed to do some major unplugging this weekend so hopefully you won’t hear too much from us! One of my plans is to take a ton of photos, both for my blog and the various projects I’m working on! Once I came across one resource, the tips came quickly. This is one subject I really don’t mind if I see all over blog world :)
1. If you’re looking for some all-inclusive photography tips, the Thirteen Thoughts blog is chock full of ’em! I love this list of blog photography hacks! Paula has such great photos, and it turns out we use a lot of the same props. That computer screen trick is pretty genius.
2. Sincerely Abigail shared her tricks for photographing in manual mode in our #weeklyresources feed on Instagram (please share your tips!) and I thought it was a great quick guide to getting started with manual, and also finding a good photo style. I like tip #3 best, I never write these things down.
3. This post from Will at Bright Bazaar is quite the throwback but all of the photography tips are still so relevant. With blog photography, you often have the intention of creating graphics or using text overlays, so there are a lot of things to keep in mind!
4. Do you photograph your subjects on a white or solid background? Kristi Murphy’s insanely quick photo editing process will probably save you a ton of time.
Have you guys blogged off of any of our spring blogging topics yet? Maybe you’ll have some photos to edit this weekend!

I’m always looking for ideas on how to create professional looking photos and images without using professional cameras. Your tips have helped me out a lot. Can you also give me some tips on how I can use gif effects on my photos? I have recently downloaded GifX an animated gif maker app on my iPhone. The app is fantastic and I’m wondering what you think of these types of apps.
