I feel like September is a really active time for blogging. Maybe it’s getting back to the grind after summer or just those refreshing feelings that fall gives off. Either way, bloggers tend to step up their content as we roll into a very blog-worthy time of year (entertaining, shopping, fall fashion…). If you’re looking to do the same, check out these resources below on getting your photos in tip-top blog shape!
1. Hayley at Tea Party Beauty knows how to get that light, minimal, and modern feel when it comes to blog photography (especially in the beauty space), and the best part is that she uses a free photo editor to make it all happen.
2. Thirteen Thoughts wrote an awesome guide to her blogging photography resources, and the list is seriously impressive. Her guide is best for those who want to jump right in. Btw, be sure to check out our own camera advice here, if you haven’t!
3. Fake Leather is one of those blogs that you really want to take photography advice from. It’s clear that she knows how to take better blog photos, and her examples are stunning.
4. Leave it to the beauty bloggers to be pro at lifestyle photography! Beauty and the Chic shares how she takes her blog photos, so you can see exactly how she sets up each subject. It’s so nice to see another blogger’s process!
How do you take and edit your blog photos? Is there a lot of styling involved? A special editing process? Would love to hear and compile for a future post!

You guys have a cool thing going here; thank you for all of the great tips and advice! I’m a fan of helping and teaching others too. Your site is great. As far as photo editing on my end, I use Photoshop. I’m still trying to figure out a good equation for the images on my site. My big challenge now is learning to balance posting and all of the bells and whistles; images, tags, titles, categories, sharing, etc… Thank you again for posting quality, engaging content on a beautiful site!
