Clunky title aside, we’re looking forward to hearing what you think about today’s resources. They’re all very different articles, but we noticed a theme about other blog + business owners sharing how to go about it in a way that actually works for YOU and your individual personality and processes. Whether you’re an introvert starting a business, in a rut with your blog, or just not into the idea of the hustle, these four posts are really refreshing!
1. We loved Gillian of Elevator Musik’s post on why it’s okay not to be a #girlboss. She breaks down some of the not-so-alluring connotations behind the Girl Boss movement, and I completely echo those thoughts!
2. There’s a lot floating around about business tips for introverts, but Her Lovely Heart’s article on marketing for introverts stuck out to us. If you’re also an introvert (or even more challenging, get social anxiety), I think you’ll find this post helpful as a way to start small when it comes to putting yourself out there.
3. I just had one of those “ME TOO!” moments while reading the surprising truth about burnout by Linea Mae. If you feel like you’re working around the clock, you have to set a few ground rules. It’s easy to try to multitask or even veg out while doing the relatively mindless parts of your job (Pinterest, scheduling etc), but it just drags the tasks out and your brain doesn’t really differentiate between all these tasks, it just feels like it was on a laptop for 19 hours straight.
4. We’ve been wanting to share this when bloggers disappear post from Nadine Rebecca for awhile and finally found a way to incorporate it in our resources. If you’re a long time blog writer or reader you’ve definitely had the same thoughts. It’s also a big reason I’ve gone MIA on my personal blog so many times over the years. Just another reminder that you should do what’s best for you!
Happy weekend everyone!
