I know we’re a week into the month, but I’m still in disbelief that April is already here. Especially since this week’s resource topic is blog conferences–researching them made me realize how many have already gone by! But there are endless conferences that bloggers and creatives can attend to learn about blogging, social media, growing your brand and so much more throughout the entire year. Since I’ve only ever attended one two-day conference and a few sporadic networking events (not much of a networker over here!), I thought I’d leave it to the experts:
1. First of all, you have to know when they are and if there are any you can feasibly get to. You can find a big calendar of women’s lifestyle, blogging, and social media conferences over on The Blog Stylist. Great resource!
2. The Mint Sweater’s post on what to expect from a creative conference is what inspired this week’s resources. It’s the most authentic post I’ve seen on creative conferences so far, and 100% my experience at networking events, even the ones I’ve really loved and learned from. Marnie also has another post about why to attend conferences that explains even more.
3. I liked this recap by Written & Bound on attending her first blogging conference, and the 10 things she learned seemed really helpful for new bloggers or business owners, and even those that might be hesitant to attend one alone.
4. Lastly, you can combine this HUGE list of 2017 blogging conferences Jump into Monday compiled. It covers just about every scope of blogging, not just lifestyle, so it may be helpful if you’re in a different niche. Amazing how many have already gone by, but there’s still a lot left!
Have you attended creative or blog conferences before? If you do sign up for one, be sure to read our weekly resources on networking tips for bloggers first!
