Yesterday I wrote about gaining confidence as a blogger, and I mentioned the benefit of eliminating negative self talk. That got me thinking about all of the other ways we can practice being healthy and happy bloggers and biz owners. With blogging, no one is really telling us how much or how little to work, so it’s easy to just overdo it and burn out. Some weeks I dive completely into my work and don’t give myself enough breaks. Then, the next week I’ll have trouble focusing on my work at all. I think one of the best way to avoid burning out is to add simple habits into your daily routine. These might be related to self-care or creating a healthier work-life balance in general. Here are a few posts that have encouraged me to take better care of myself this week!
1. Bluchic’s post How We Fit All in As Business Owners and Still Have a Life is so good. They discuss the importance of admitting that you can’t do it all and prioritizing in a thoughtful way.
2. I’m not naturally a morning person, but I do feel so much more productive when I get up early and cross a bunch of things off of my list. If you want to start being more productive in the morning, read Kate’s 5 tips to make yourself a morning person on Layered Indulgence.
3. Like I said above, negative thoughts can take a huge toll on your creative work. Sarah of Verity Road has an amazing post on overcoming negativity as an entrepreneur.
4. Finally, here’s one I’m obsessed with – Rachel of The Crafted Life shared a super honest post on nurturing your creativity and it brings me so much joy! Engaging in creativity for no other reason than to have fun is always a great idea.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

This is great~ I love the first post on time management and it has spurned a reaction for my newsletter to my peeps which is late because I am overwhelmed!
Excerpt: “Hey it’s Friday and I am behind on my newsletter & a new You Tube video & a blog post & it is spring break & I have not had class since Sunday & I am skipping class on Sunday & gave up private lessons on Sunday!
What is going on? Overload! I know many of you have mentioned how do we balance work/life/ballet in our lives? I don’t know that answer because I tend to TRY to do it all. After I finish some of the loose ends above, I am taking my dog and myself to the beach for a long walk and will let the Easter weekend begin with my family~ that is a start. Prioritize and enjoy life separate from work.”
Thanks for the helpful post :) Sarah
