Happy Earth Day, friends! If you follow Jenn or myself on Instagram, you know that our personal accounts are all about our adventures in nature. We love this planet we call home so very much, and it might seem like a fluffy topic, this roundup, but we just feel so strongly about celebrating nature in all its beauty every single day. I know that shopping is far from the most eco friendly thing you could be doing on Earth Day, and I hope you are taking some time to celebrate Earth and maybe doing your part to keep her healthy whenever you can. That said, there are a lot of beautiful spring occasions for gifting, from birthdays to bridal showers to Mother’s Day and more, and if you are on the market for a special thing or two, we’ve rounded up some nature inspired gift ideas below.
These gift ideas were inspired by the very top item, a card by Little Truths Studio, a Portland studio behind lots of beautiful nature inspired art, that reads “The World Needs People Like You More Than Ever”. It’s a greeting card that my friend gave me for my birthday and it’s one of the sweetest, most beautiful cards—that’s also printed on recycled paper. From there I thought of another Portland artist, Wildwood Candle Co. All of their candles are inspired by specific Portland trails, with 5% of profits donated to the Forest Park Conservancy. When thinking of eco friendly decor you could gift, I always reccommend those with Jute as a material. It’s one of the most eco-friendly textiles, and this West Elm Bordered Round Jute Rug made by Craftmark-certified artisans is a beautiful example, as is this Jute Bag in Ecru & Ivory from Novica.
Next, the Worthwhile Paper There Is Still Beauty In The World Print, on recycled paper, is so simple and stunning. I think it would make a perfect little gift set along with 1canoe2’s Basil & Sunflower seeds (they have more on their site!) and their Goldenrod Landscape Observations Notebook which is perfect for your nature-loving friends that love to journal.
If you know of any companies that sell earth-friendly products, be sure to comment below to add to these nature-inspired gift ideas! And if you haven’t heard, Jenn and I also work on a project called eco club, which highlights those very shops!
