I’m so happy to be finally sharing this space with you guys! For the past few years, I have been blogging over at Earl Grey where I’ve created DIY projects, style posts, recipes, etc. While I love writing about those topics, my passion is primarily in design, specifically coding. I’ll continue to post on Earl Grey but here I will be sharing several tutorials having to do with web coding, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more. My friends Katie and Angela will also be contributing! They have both been helping me build and brand The Blog Market since summertime. Katie is a an amazing illustrator and will be sharing design elements. Angela of If Found, Make will be contributing many amazing posts for bloggers and small business owners. Can’t wait for you to see Katie and Angela’s work! Click here to learn more about the three of us.
Here is what to expect in the days, weeks, and months to come:
Resources for Bloggers – This is the title of my favorite post series I had at Earl Grey. Simple and to the point. I’ve created a growing directory of resources, including apps, design tools and go-to sites that I use every day.
Webcodes – Working on web codes is so much fun to me. The challenge of figuring out a code in order to create the perfect blog/web element will keep me up all night. On Earl Grey, I had no idea how to incorporate web code tidbits without starting with the very basics of HTML and CSS. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do here, starting this week. I made a new CSS Cheat Sheet that’s more interactive than the one I had on my old blog. Hope you find it helpful!
Creative Inspiration – Whether it’s a workspace roundup or an interview with an artist, we will be regularly sharing inspiring (and hopefully motivating) content.
Design Goodies – We’ve got a lot of neat design elements in the works! Some for sale, most for free.
Community – We have a few forums going that we hope will foster community and provide as a resource for bloggers wanting to connect with one another. Right now there are four forums: Blogging, Small Biz, Design, and Community. Click here to create an account and start posting!
