Earlier this week we talked about creating community on your blog, which goes perfectly with the resources we’ve found for you all today! It’s not just about having the community live on your website, sometimes you have to venture out and join the conversation. Finding ways to connect with other bloggers is not only key to growing your brand but helps you gain inspiration and insight, not to mention for those of us who work from home, keep us a little sane. Even if you don’t crave the big community that a office has to offer, most bloggers and entrepreneurs will say that having a support system and people to listen to or bounce ideas off of is essential! I’m personally trying to become more involved as a blogger, so these four posts really helped:
1. Is anyone else super late on the whole podcast thing? Just me? Thankfully Blog Brighter created a post full of podcast suggestions for those of us just tuning in!
2. This year I’ve started joining Facebook groups, which is a great resource as a freelancer. Even though I don’t connect with everyone who posts in these groups, it’s nice to constantly be tuned into a community where I can chime in whenever I feel inspired. That’s why I love posts like The White Corner Creative’s list of 8 Facebook groups for bloggers to join.
3. In person communiy is so important and something a lot of us digital people are really lacking right now! I love Hoda Katebi’s ideas for promoting your blog offline; it’s a great reminder of the power of traditional networking, collaboration, and putting yourself out there. Much needed!
4. At first I wasn’t sure if all these resources went together well enough to make my point about the importance of blogging communities. Right as I wasn’t sure what the fourth resource would be, I found Jenny Purr’s post on bloglovin’, and it was exactly what I needed. Not only is building an authentic human connection (her words) incredible important for any profitable business, it’s just something we need, whether we actively seek it or not! We’re only human :)
How do you stay active in the blogging community? We’d love to hear your ideas and put together a post!

I always love your weekly ressources! The third about promoting your blog offline links to the nine podcasts though?
Angela says
Thanks Lotte! I caught that/updated on Friday, is it still the wrong link for you? Just wondering if there’s a bug. Here’s the direct link:
